Happy Halloween Beauties!

I am so excited to share this post with you because I am obsessed with this online clothing store, Black Swan Boutique. I have partnered with them to offer everyone 15% off all full priced items AND sale items. Just use the code JOSSELYN at checkout. :)

Both my tee shirt and leather jacket are from Black Swan Boutique. They have a TON of graphic tees and they are so soft and fit just right. I am wearing this one, and I just adore the saying "Whiskey in a Teacup". I'm not gonna to lie, this sums my personality up quite well. I also LOVE this tee too. If you are looking for an affordable leather jacket that fits just right, you have come to the right place! The leather biker jacket I'm wearing above is so classic and get this, it's only $52.00! This is a must-have for winter and the price is RIGHT!

Cheers to this holiday weekend. Can't wait to see everyone's costumes! XX

GREEN HUNTER BOOTS

FLANNEL: J.Crew | VEST: J.Crew Factory | DENIM: 7 for all mankind | BOOTS: Hunter | RINGS: Pretty in Pynk | EARRINGS: Pretty in Pynk

Hope everyone had an eventful weekend! Mine was filled with two of my favorite people on the whole planet- my sister and niece, Memphis Belle! We had such a great time together, and Sunday is always so hard to part ways. Completing this post makes me sad b/c I want to turn back time. It's so bizarre to have a quiet house again. Not a fan, guess I will just have to go visit them in Tahoe next. Bummer! Anyways, enough of this sappy stuff..

Every year they visit in October and we have made it a tradition to go to a pumpkin patch.  This year was no exception, and we decided to head towards the coast! We drove over the hill to Rodoni Farms in Santa Cruz, CA. I loved this place because it was right across from the ocean and you could feel and taste the salty air. So refreshing! I was also excited because it was finally overcast, so I was able to bundle up in this flannel/vest combo and wear some hunter boots. #WINNING

On another note, I am OBSESSED with my stackable rings I'm wearing in these pics. I recently discovered the online boutique, Pretty in Pynk, and let me tell you, they do not disappoint! The prices are amazing and they have some great jewelry finds like the gold mixed stoned rings I'm wearing above. Oh and did I mention that they are only $12.95?! Yeah, major score.

IKEA HACK: GOLD SHELVES

WHITE SHELVES (2): Ikea | GOLD SPRAY PAINT: Michaels

Happy Friday Dolls!

I wanted to have a step by step picture guide to painting these shelves, but unfortunately I have misplaced my photos I took while I was making them. One of the downfalls of trying to multitask I suppose! I will try and recreate what I did even without a picture guide. Bare with me folks.

So first things first, you will need to order or pick up two shelves from Ikea. They are the Vittsjo white shelves, article number 803.034.37 and the size is 20 1/8x68 7/8. Once you get the shelves home, you will have to assemble them. This may take days, weeks, months. I mean come on, it's Ikea after all. :) You will receive a textbook full of directions and a total of 1 million different parts. If your smart, you will have your dad, boyfriend, random stranger, or perhaps your dog walker put this together for you... Skip forward to it being assembled and now you are readdyyyyyy to paint!
*Make sure to leave the glass shelves off of the unit so that you don't get any paint on them.

I did all of my painting outside on my front porch. I literally just threw out a massive tarp and started spraying. This gold spray paint is the perfect paint to use.  I found it at Beverly's, but you can get it at Michael's or online through the link above. I would recommend doing one layer of paint, make sure to hold the can about 6 inches away from your target area. Once it drys, you can go back and revisit any spots you may have missed.

Once your done spraying, let the shelves dry for about four hours before bringing back inside. Once you find the perfect location for your shelves in your office, living room, bedroom... You will then be ready for the second to last step. Add the glass inserts (6 total) to complete the final product.

Now for the fun part- decorating! I found most of my goodies at TJ Maxx, Target, Z Gallerie, and World Market. If you want to know where a particular item is from, just let me know!

Cheers!
