I'm not going to lie, I LOVE bacon every once in awhile, but I really dislike cooking it in a frying pan. It's so messy and the grease gets everywhere. I have a solution for everyone out there that wants a simple way to cook bacon. The secret is baking it! Seriously, once you make bacon this way, you will NEVER go back. It is actually life changing. This recipe will transform your BLTS, make Sunday mornings seamless and convince whoever you're cooking for that you are a professional chef.

- 1 Package Applewood Bacon
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- Pepper

  1. Line two cookie baking sheets with parchment paper and lay wire cooling racks on top of the cookie sheets.
  2. Place the bacon on the wire racks and sprinkle with a healthy layer of brown sugar and pepper.
  3. Insert bacon into COLD oven and then turn on to 400 degrees.
  4. Let cook for 35 minutes.
  5. ENJOY!
There you have it, the simplest, yet most delicious recipe of all time. Now get cooking'!

VEST: J.Crew | SWEATER: Sanctuary (old) SIMILAR HERE | SCARF: Shop Bellac | DENIM: AG | PURSE: Louis Vuitton | SUNNIES: Ray-Ban BOOTIES: Sam Edelman | RING: Kendra Scott | LIPS: American Doll

Just another manic Monday oohohhhh, wish it was Sunday.... I'm definitely wishing it was Sunday, so that I could wear this outfit all over again. I guess you could call it my fall uniform. I'm so excited it's getting cooler again so that I can wear this scarf from Shop Bellac on repeat. It takes any outfit from drab to fab.

I'm currently crushing on all Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks, and American Doll is by far my favorite. It is THE perfect red for blondes! This stuff lasts too; it stays on all day. You will have to reapply though because parts get blotchy throughout the day. This product is hard to find in stores, especially the good colors. Macy' has almost all of them right now. I would get the nude color, Pure Hollywood, while you have the chance too. If you can't find them on Macy', they always are offered on Amazon for about $10 more than the going rate. I'm telling you, HOT item.

Anyways, I could ramble on about lipstick all day. But, I guess I'll log off for now. Have a great week everyone. <3

Today I am getting into the fall spirit by sharing one of my favorite recipes for lemon poppyseed bundt cake. This cake is moist and lemony with a touch of homemade cream cheese frosting for the win! It is now that time of year for blanket scarfs, tall boots, oh and putting on that winter layer... I mean coat? No bikinis for awhile ladies, it's time to indulge in some delicious treats.

So without further ado below is the recipe--

Bundt Cake
1 box white cake mix
1 3.4 ounce  box instant lemon pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Cream Cheese Frosting
1 pkg. cream cheese
1 cube butter
1/2 box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 lemon- squeeze juice and remove seeds

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a bundt cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine cake mix and pudding mix. Add sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, and      warm water. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated, then add poppyseeds.
  3. Pour cake batter into the bundt cake pan and bake for 40-50 minutes. Cake will be done when a toothpick is inserted and nothing sticks to it.
  4. Let the cake cool for 30 minute before adding frosting
  5. Once cake is cool, transfer to a cake stand and frost

  1. Bring butter and cream cheese to room temperature.
  2. Combine the butter and cream cheese with a Kitchen Aid Mixer with the whisk insert.
  3. Add in 1 tsp of vanilla and the powdered sugar.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice into the mixture.
  5. Whisk together for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.

I wore it this weekend down to the sunny California coast of Big Sur. I was complimented everywhere we went, people loved it. Big Sur will always hold a special place in my heart. Growing up in Carmel, we were always so lucky to have the coast at our finger tips. Sometimes my friends and I would play hooky from school and go out to the Gorge in Big Sur and swim all day.

Coming soon- A blog post on all the fun restaurants out there, hiking, and swimming spots.

TEE: Halogen (50% off only $12.49) | DENIM: AG | MULES: Target | BELT: Express | NECKLACE: BaubleBar | REBEL RING: Stella & Dot | CHEVRON RING: Stella & Dot | SUNNIES: Karen Walker | PURSE: Vince Camuto (old) similar here

I am so obsessed with anything with stripes. I feel like every time I'm shopping I'm automatically drawn to clothing with that pattern. Good thing they are totally in this fall. This shirt was part of the #NSALE and believe it or not, it's actually even cheaper right now. You can buy this one and a ton of other colors for only $12.49!

Let's talk shoes. When it comes to mules, it seems that every blogger keeps posting their fall outfit pics with the Vince Camuto mules and then they link a different pair because there are literally NONE left for sale on this planet. No joke. So, I did some research and found the ones I'm wearing in this photo from Target! I got them on sale for $10.00!! They are now back to $25.00.... I know, really have to break the bank. Just kidding, still a major bargain. These are such a necessity and they also come in black. I can't find them in store, so make sure to get them from the link above.

It's my birthday weekend/ week/ month so I have been stuffing my face with cupcakes and anything with sprinkles on it. I get a free pass for the month right? I will be continuing on the eating... I mean birthday celebrations this weekend. Hooray! Hope everyone has some fun plans, it's going to be HOT in CA. Soak up the sun. <3

HAT: Francesca's | DRESS: Maeve (old) similar here | RUFFLED SOCKS: Francesca's | BOOTS: Anthropologie | TOTE: Street Level | SUNNIES: Karen Walker | RING: Stella & Dot | RING: BaubleBar | LIPS: Nars (Cruella)

Confession, about two years ago I discovered that I needed glasses. I went in for my annual exam and the eye doc informed me that I was nearsighted. It was so overwhelming to try my glasses on for the first time and actually be able to see everything clearly. Luckily, I got the cutest Chanel glasses and it made me less self conscious about the whole thing. I'm used to them now, but still choose to wear contacts most of the time. My advice, if you can't see, do something about it and make sure to pick out the best pair of Rx glasses you can find!

I'm currently crushing on these ruffled socks. I was searching high and low for a pair of them and finally found the perfect pair at Francesca's! They also have knee high ones for taller boots. I would stock up now before winter comes! I am also loving this maroon hat that looks good on everyone. The color is so pretty in person, reminds me of a red wine and goes great with this Nars lipstick.
